With the autumn leaves littering the path to the entrance of the House of Hemp, a worn speakeasy door eerily creeks open. We are welcomed by the spirit of Jack Herer himself.
“Welcome to the Cloud 8 House of Hemp”, he says, his raspy voice echoing throughout the manor. “Tonight, I shall guide you through a delightful tour of hemp and horror that shall be filled with euphoric elation.”
Without hesitation, the ghastly ghoul motioned for us to follow it down a long dusty corridor. The poltergeist guided us by a flickering candle flame that offered an uplifting glow. At the end of the hall, three doors awaited our arrival. Each door was marked individually to represent what experience lay behind it. With our choices presented, we inspected each door carefully.
